Beholder 2 serves as an illustration of what might occur in specific locations where a single individual controls everything, yet an illusion is in place. Organizations are set up to give the impression that the state is only there to assist. You take on the role of Evan, who works for the Ministry in the uncertain state, handling citizen demands. After your father passes away, things begin to go downhill, but as you spend more time at work and with his family, you discover that something far darker is happening.
There are plenty of games that try to spy on people or handle documents that have sinister overtones. This game is the follow-up to a series about a rigid state where the government keeps a close eye on everyone. The difficulty, as an employee, is to try to complete enough work to avoid penalty while also investigating the truth. You have to strike the correct balance because you only have so much time and chance to investigate topics. When revealing the truth while remaining anonymous, exercise diligence and curiosity because you might be responsible for someone else's future.

The objective is to carry out your duties effectively while looking into the Ministry and the circumstances surrounding your father's employment and passing. The upper right corner of the screen displays all of your resources. You can view your inventory and the information that has been gathered using the menu. You might perish with the truth if the Ministry discovers what you're up to.
When you enter the game from the main screen, Evan will start his first day of work. Evan is expected to handle requests for people who come to his window while he is in the Ministry. After hearing their requests, he must determine what form they require, which department to forward them to, and which office is available. He will be paid if he processes them correctly; if he processes them incorrectly, he will not be paid. His authority and reputation inside the Ministry will increase if he keeps up his fine work and makes himself known.
Evan can only work and engage in other activities for so long in a day before he has to go to bed. He can read books, pick up new talents, or watch TV in his apartment to learn new things. He can then spend his time working, researching, or speaking with certain individuals to find out more about the ministry and his father's fate. You can either work diligently for the State or try to reveal the negative aspects of its operations and personnel. Evan may receive a promotion or punishment based on your decisions. When Evan reaches the conclusion of the path he chooses to take, the game is over.
