Every step in The Last of Humans : Awakening comes face-to-face with surprises. Rust spills over pipes as dim light seeps through damaged windows and reflects off peeling walls.
As you follow the winding corridor, there are several dried bloodstains, torn carpet, and wall cracks. Scattered notes seem to talk gently to the player, exposing frightening experiments. A key rests suddenly at foot, unlocking the door with a frightening shriek. Each chamber is a minor challenge, a subtle hint of monsters still wandering. Incapable of retaliating, each move must be deliberate in order to escape the shadows that might appear at any moment.
Each note picked up is like a fractured piece of the tale. Strange statements about the body build a terrifying picture of a botched experiment. To decide which door to open next, you must consider and make connections between each clue. Certain rooms are clever traps with worthless items. Important hints can be found within well secured boxes. Unusual sounds alert you to the presence of someone lurking, whereas quiet might occasionally cause you to forget to breathe.
